About the Studio

Historic industrial location

Located in a repurposed bottle cap factory (circa 1906), the studio is just one of dozens that call the Crown Industrial Park home. Chances are you'll run into some of our artistic or small-business neighbors that share the industrial park with us.

The studio itself is located on the fourth floor and is about 800 square feet of open-concept space. It features stunning natural light and painted original brick.

Locally owned and operated

Meld is proud to be just one of many studios, art spaces, and local businesses located within the Highlandtown Arts District. Quite often, you'll hear our members chatting about upcoming events in the arts district and spreading the word about their favorite local restaurants.

A little small, a little scrappy

If you're looking for a studio that is on a bustling Main Street, that is easy to stumble upon during a Saturday morning stroll, that has city-wide name recognition... this isn't it.

We're small. We're scrappy. We're off the beaten path, tucked into a corner of the city, in an old industrial complex that is unassuming and uninviting to the casual passerby, in a unit that doesn't have central AC or a water hookup. We're quietly doing our thing amongst old bricks and intimidating freight elevators.

And we're surrounded by dozens of other artists and small business in this complex, each of us making the world a little more beautiful out of this dusty, paint-chipped, charming slice of history.
